The Gift Shop is an extension of the Pardee Home Museum and offers a variety of goods that reflect the beauty of the home and the history of Oakland. All proceeds from the gift shop go toward upkeep and general operations of the Pardee Home. We appreciate your support. Below are some examples of items that are (or have been) sold in the shop. Main Parlor of Pardee Home—
Postcard
The marble mantelpiece, with its prominent crack from the 1906 earthquake and a grand, gold-gilded mirror from the famous San Francisco store Gump’s, highlight the main parlor of the home. Mrs. Pardee’s collections of foreign artifacts are prominently displayed in all three front parlors.

The front facade of the Pardee Home, designed in 1868 by San Francisco architects Hoagland and Newsom, is an elegant example of the architectural style known as Italianate villa.

Beautiful bay windows capture the afternoon sun in the dining room of the Pardee Home and allow visitors to enjoy the many ornate details of the dining room set which Mrs. Pardee purchased secondhand around 1920.

A remarkable chandelier, featuring images of Yosemite by world-renowned photographer Carlton Watkins, and a lighting fixture from a mosque collected by Mrs. Pardee, hang in the rear hallway next to a lovely, double-back stairway.
